Day 2 of Yum

Ah, rainy Sundy mornings. I stayed in bed until 10am. That never happens, but it was delightful!! Then it was time to greet the day with banana pancakes. Yum!! They don't look that great, but they were so good. I am writing this with a full and happy belly right now. A+

The question is now to do some housework, or go curl up with a good book...

Well, I curled up with a good book while doing a little laundry...then fell asleep. I LOVE LAZY SUNDAYS :) After a snack of banana chips, and my lazy morning it was time for lunch. I didn't post a picture of lunch because it was lentil soup that looked like puke. In Gobble Green's defense, all lentil soup looks a little like puke. I didn't like it, though. I think someone else might have liked it, but I couldn't eat more than a few bites. It reminded me of split pea soup or something and I just couldn't deal. Luckily, breakfast and my snack were so filling that I wasn't really too hungry anyway. Did I mention that I loved the banana pancakes??!!

Then I was off to my parents for dinner. Since they were bbq-ing, I brought along my dinner meal - Sweet Morraccan Fusion with Couscous. This meal was weird, but really pretty good. It was chickpeas, carrots, onions, raisins, and a sauce with couscous. Good meal, and again, very filling. I also may or may not have snuck a few french fries from my brother's plate...

Dessert was a large fudge brownie...it was fudgy and rich. Just slightly undercooked, and I liked it that way. Yum Yum.

So today was a little bit of a mixed bag. That lentil soup just wasn't for me. I don't have a calorie count because I didn't eat the soup and the morraccan fusion nutrition information wasn't listed on the website. From what I am seeing though, the meals are pretty well balanced, which as a nutrition person I am happy to see.

I am very surprised as to how filling these meals are - not very high in calories, but still feeling nice and satisfied after the meals.

Monday's dinner will be pre-empted by some Pi thanks to two wonderful co-workers of mine :)
